iBurst Unveils New Products

iBurst, a leading internet provider, launched out two new products-iSpeed and iShield products which are designed to provide high speed connectivity and control for both individuals and corporate institutions.

The iSpeed is a broadband wireless service designed to provide lightspeed internet access to corporate organizations and individuals. The product comes with a fixed monthly rate and a prepaid rate that will give clients an open selection of the payment mode. The product provides a user friendly and stable firewall service that ensures optimal use of the available bandwidth.

The other product that was unveiled at the Golden Tulip Hotel is iShield which comes with the iSpeed package. iShield has been designed as a security programme to protect the user's network from internet-based threats. It also allows the connection of office networks to multiple broadband internet connections. iShield further incorporates an email server to make the exchange of internal emails easy.

According to Moris Gil, the head of sales at iBurst Africa, iShield is a purpose built firewall proxy device that filters all internet traffic between local networks and the internet making spam email a thing of the past for users. Kofi Bening who represented the Ministry of Communication was upbeat on how ISP's like iBurst Africa will increase the number of internet users in the country. He implored executives of the company to look into the thorny issue of affordability which seems to be scaring many Ghanaians away from accessing the internet.

Tony Dadzie, the Sales Director of iBurst in Ghana was enthused that the new products were being launched in conjunction with other ISPs such as KNET and BUSY INTERNET. This collaboration, he said, will go a long way to ensure the realization of quality IT products for the Ghanaian market.
